UnBARlievable- Austin, Texas

Last time I was in Austin, I went out on 6th Street. I asked the bouncers and locals where I should hit and everyone had the same answer: Rainey Street. When I asked about the best bars on Rainey, one name kept popping up: UnBARlievable. While I didn’t get a chance to check it out my first time in town, I made a point to stop by this past weekend. It did not disappoint. Saturday night was lively on Rainey, but the only place with a long line was UnBARlievable. This aptly named fun-house themed bar is truly full of surprises. From the crane game filled with sex toys to the slide down to the DJ booth, I’d go into this bar expecting the unexpected. The bar has 3 main areas: The front yard, which has two basketball shooting games, huge TV screens, lots of seating, and a huge giraffe. The inside, which looks like the inside of a circus tent, which has a bar, a kitchen, the dildo crane game, and tables. The slide will take you to the backyard, which has a DJ booth, another bar, and amphitheater-style seating. Overall, I think this is an absolute staple bar for Austin; and as far as a good time goes, probably your best bet on Rainey St.
